Successful job market candidates! We congratulate our job market candidates Pia Pinger and Ina Drepper who have found positions as assistant professors (tenure track) at the Universities of Bonn and Tilburg.

The Scandinavian Journal of Economics awarded the David Davidson Prize, named after the founder and first editor of the journal, to Gerard van den Berg (University of Mannheim) and Johan Vikström (IFAU, Sweden) for their paper “Monitoring job offer decisions, punishment, exit to work, and job quality”. The paper was chosen by the editors as best paper of 2014.

Update about our job market candidates: Petyo Bonev went to Mines ParisTech, Johannes Schoch to KPMG and Michèle Weynandt to PwC. Andreas Dzemski will go to Gothenburg University and Alexander Paul to Aarhus University.

We congratulate former CEEE member Pia Pinger who received the prize of the Karin Islinger Foundation for her doctoral dissertation. The prize money is 1000 Euro.

He finds long-term effects on the bereaved parents' economic situation and health.
